Welcome to Prairie Piecemakers Quilt Guild

New Ulm Minnesota

The Prairie Piecemakers is an organization of quilt lovers, novices and experts alike who share their love of fabric, design, color and the finished product. So what does that mean? We love fabric. We love creating with fabric. We love looking at what has been created by others. We love talking about quilts, quilting techniques, quilting tools, and more.
We meet monthly September thru May on the 2nd Thursday of the month, at 7:00 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 201 No. State Street, New Ulm, MN. We start with a short business meeting, followed by show and tell and then a program.
Prairie Piecemakers
was formed in 1994 and originally had around 30 members. Our 2011 membership is over 80 and our members are from the entire area – New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, Lafayette, Gibbon, Courtland, Winthrop, Fairfax, and Nicollet. In addition to our meetings there are opportunities to meet and share ideas with other quilters thru group retreats at the New Ulm Library, or at the Schoenstadt in Sleepy Eye, sewing days on guild meeting days and Shop Hops to quilt shops in the area. Join us.

Who can Join? Any one who likes quilts or wants to learn about quilts or quilt making or just wants to meet a great group of people.  Our members range from individuals who have never make a quilt to those who have won state and national awards.

Membership is $15.00 a year, but the first visit is free unless there is an outside speaker, and then it is $3.00. For more information contact us.
